Weather Summary (Northborough, MA):         This mosquito season was extremely wet.  Statewide monthly rainfall averages were as follows: May-4.04” (CMMCP/Northborough 2.71”); June-5.84” (CMMCP/Northborough 4.2”); July-7.80” (CMMCP/Northborough 12.1”); August-4.15” (CMMCP/Northborough 3.75”); September-2.21” (CMMCP/Northborough 2.41”).

Weather Summary (Northborough, MA):         The weather for this particular week averaged 68.14°F with a recorded high temperature of 84.9°F and a recorded low temperature of only 57.0°F.  For this week there was also a total of 3.14 inches of rain observed, with July comprising 10.47 inches to date (CMMCP/Northborough).  Compared to the previous week, it was approximately 1.37°F cooler on average, and rained about 2.02 inches more.  The total statewide rainfall for the month of June was 5.84" (CMMCP/Northborough 4.2"). Requests for spraying totaled 1029 this week, 265% above the 6 year average of 388 for EPI week #29. This is a 8% increase from EPI week #28. For the year we have received 63% more requests; 8,878 requests to date compared to the 6 year average of 5,447.

 

No arboviruses have been confirmed in our service area as of this date.

Weather Summary (Northborough, MA):         The weather for this particular week averaged 69.51°F with a recorded high temperature of 87.0°F and a recorded low temperature of only 52.5°F.  For this week there was also a total of 1.12 inches of rain observed, with July comprising 7.33 inches to date (CMMCP/Northborough).  Compared to the previous week, it was approximately 5.04°F warmer on average, and rained about 2.29 inches less.  The total statewide rainfall for the month of June was 5.84" (CMMCP/Northborough 4.2"). Requests for spraying totaled 949 this week, 208% above the 6 year average of 456 for EPI week #28. This is a 13% decrease from EPI week #27. For the year we have received 55.1% more requests; 7,849 requests to date compared to the 6 year average of 5,058.

Requests for spraying totaled 1,071 this week, 263% above the 6 year average of 406 for EPI week #27. This is a 19% increase from EPI week #26. For the year we have received 49.9% more requests; 6,900 requests to date compared to the 6 year average of 4,602.
