Weather Summary (Northborough, MA): The weather for this particular week averaged 75.29F with a recorded high temperature of 90.8F and a recorded low temperature of only 58.0F. For this week there was also a total of 0.86 inches of rain observed. Compared to the previous week, it was approximately 1.25F warmer on average, and rained about 0.28 inches more. There has been 1.21 inches of rain accumulated in August, while the total rainfall for the month of July was 2.48 inches at the CMMCP weather station. For the year we have received 31% more requests than average; 9,492 requests to date compared to the 9 year average of 7,251. Requests were 18% less than the 2011 totals for the same time frame, 11,230 in 2011 against 9,492 in 2012. Service requests decreased 35% from EPI week 31 to Epi week 32 for 2012 (830 vs. 614).

For this week there was also a total of 0.58 inches of rain observed. Compared to the previous week, it was approximately 0.98F warmer on average, and rained about 1.05 inches less. There was 2.48 inches of rain accumulated in July, while the total rainfall for the month of June was 2.98 inches at the CMMCP weather station (3.86 statewide). For the year we have received 28% more requests than average; 8,878 requests to date compared to the 9 year average of 6,957. Requests were 22% less than the 2011 totals for the same time frame, 10,834 in 2011 against 8,878 in 2012. Service requests increased 49% from EPI week 30 to Epi week 31 for 2012 (558 vs. 830) likely due to virus confirmations in our service area.
