Mr. Richard Day, MSHS, RS/CHO

 

Mr. Day is the current Chair of the CMMCP Commission, and has been a member since 1987. Mr. Day has been the Director of the Chelmsford Board of Health since 1980. He earned a Master of Science/Health Science from Northeastern University. He is a Registered Sanitarian and a Certified Health Officer, and holds other certifications such as Profession Food Manager, Pool Operator and Code Enforcement/Lead Determination Inspector.  Mr. Day recently served as President of the Mass. Health Officers Association (MHOA), and has coordinated the aerial application of larval mosquito control products in Chelmsford since the early 1980’s.

 


Mr. Pablo Noguera, C.E.

 

Mr. Noguera has been a member of the CMMCP Commission since 1995. He has been a Civil Engineer for the Billerica Engineering Division since 1983. He obtained his Civil Engineering degree from Northeastern University in 1983. He has worked on and overseen numerous engineering projects in Billerica in the past 30+ years such as installation of sewer lines and water mains, improvements in drainage, and coordinated with residents on many occasions. Mr. Noguera has coordinated many water management projects in town for CMMCP.

The Honorable Dean Mazzarella, Mayor

 

Mr. Mazzarella has been a member of the CMMCP Commission since 1998. Mr. Mazzarella has served as Mayor of the City of Leominster since January 1994. Prior to his election to Mayor, Mr. Mazzarella was a ten-year veteran of the Leominster Police Department and has been a small business owner in the City for a number of years. Mr. Mazzarella’s knowledge of fiscal and personnel matters has proven to be invaluable to CMMCP. Mr. Mazzarella initiated the process for the creation of the CMMCP Safety Committee several years ago.

Mr. Paul Mazzuchelli, MPH, RS/CHO

 

Mr. Mazzuchelli has been a member of the CMMCP Commission since 2005. Mr. Mazzuchelli is the Director of the Milford Board of Health and has been a health officer in Milford since 1977. He received a Master of Science with a concentration in Public Health from Clark University in 1984. He is a Registered Sanitarian and a Certified Health Officer, and holds other certifications such as Registered Environmental Health Specialist, Registered IPM Practitioner, and is certified by the Mass. Dept. of Agricultural Resources for pesticide applications. Mr. Mazzuchelli assisted CMMCP with mosquito control operations in Milford from 1979 to the mid-1980’s with town owned spray equipment and personnel.

Dr. Sam Telford III, Sc.D., M.S.

 

Dr. Telford has been a member of the CMMCP Commission since 2008. Dr. Telford is a Professor of Infectious Disease and Global Health at Tufts School of Veterinary Medicine.  He received a Doctor of Science (Sc.D.) degree from Harvard University; his undergraduate work was done at John Hopkins University. He has been a leading researcher on vector-borne infections specializing in tick-borne infections, and has broadened his work to include mosquito-borne pathogens. Dr. Telford has published over 200 peer reviewed publications on the ecology and epidemiology of vector-borne diseases.  Dr. Telford has a strong commitment to public health and his vast experience in research and knowledge of vector-borne pathogens has assisted CMMCP on numerous occasions.
