Dr. Sam Telford III, Sc.D., M.S.

Dr. Sam Telford III, Sc.D., M.S.Dr. Telford has been a member of the CMMCP Commission since 2008. Dr. Telford is a Professor of Infectious Disease and Global Health at Tufts School of Veterinary Medicine.  He received a Doctor of Science (Sc.D.) degree from Harvard University; his undergraduate work was done at JohnHopkins University. He has been a leading researcher on vector-borne infections specializing in tick-borne infections, and has broadened his work to include mosquito-borne pathogens. Dr. Telford has published over 200 peer reviewed publications on the ecology and epidemiology of vector-borne diseases.  Dr. Telford has a strong commitment to public health and his vast experience in research and knowledge of vector-borne pathogens has assisted CMMCP on numerous occasions.
