Due to low nightime temperatures that have begun to predominate in our area, our residential spray program has ended for 2019. We will continue to monitor for mosquito-borne viruses and respond as appropriate until the first hard freeze reduces risk to zero. Our focus at this time is in areas identified as "High" or "Critical" risk for the EEE virus.
Please continue to use personal protection measures (PPM) as outlined here: https://www.cmmcp.org/home/news/personal-protection-measures
It’s important to note that spraying can reduce but not eliminate the threat of mosquito-borne illness in the areas that are sprayed. That’s why it’s important for individuals to continue to take personal precautions against mosquito bites, both before and after any spraying is conducted. Even if virus has not been found in your location, there is still risk until the hard freeze elimninates the mosquito population.
We would like to thank you for your support in 2019 and look forward to serving you again in 2020.
