Dracut Vector Spray Event September 13, 2018
Dracut 2018: updated 9/14/18 7:53am
Mosquitoes with West Nile Virus were confirmed September 12 in a surveillance traps set September 7 by CMMCP in the eastern part of town. Working with the Dracut Board of Health, truck-mounted Ultra-Low Volume (ULV) spraying was done in the area below on September 13 after sunset.
It’s important to note that spraying can only reduce but not eliminate the threat of mosquito-borne illness in the areas that are sprayed. That’s why it’s important for individuals to continue to take personal precautions against mosquito bites — both before and after any spraying is conducted.
