Ashland Vector Spray Event September 9 2019

Ashland 2019: updated Sept. 10, 2019 7:52am

A resident of Ashland with Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE) Virus was confirmed September 5 by MDPH in the southern part of town. Working with the Ashland Board of Health and Town Manager, truck-mounted Ultra-Low Volume (ULV) spraying was done town-wide on September 9 after sunset.

It’s important to note that spraying can reduce but not eliminate the threat of mosquito-borne illness in the areas that are sprayed. That’s why it’s important for individuals to continue to take personal precautions against mosquito bites, both before and after any spraying is conducted.
