Auburn Vector Spray Event September 25, 2018
Auburn 2018: updated 9/28/18 6:49am
APPLICATION RESCHEDULED TO SEPTEMBER 27 DUE TO WEATHER
Mosquitoes with West Nile Virus were confirmed September 19 in a surveillance trap set September 14 by CMMCP in the northeast part of town. Working with the Auburn Board of Health, truck-mounted Ultra-Low Volume (ULV) spraying was done in the area below on September 27 after sunset.
It’s important to note that spraying can only reduce but not eliminate the threat of mosquito-borne illness in the areas that are sprayed. That’s why it’s important for individuals to continue to take personal precautions against mosquito bites — both before and after any spraying is conducted.
