Auburn Vector Spray Event September 3 2019

Auburn 2019: updated Sept. 4, 2019 7:59am

Mosquitoes with West Nile Virus (WNV) were confirmed August 28 by MDPH in the northern part of town. Working with the Auburn Board of Health, truck-mounted Ultra-Low Volume (ULV) spraying was done in the area below on September 3 after sunset.

It’s important to note that spraying can reduce but not eliminate the threat of mosquito-borne illness in the areas that are sprayed. That’s why it’s important for individuals to continue to take personal precautions against mosquito bites, both before and after any spraying is conducted.
