Auburn Vector Spray Event September 4, 2018

Auburn 2018: updated 8/29/18 2:58am

Mosquitoes with West Nile Virus were confirmed August 29 in a surveillance trap set August 24 by CMMCP in the central part of town. Working with the Auburn Board of Health, truck-mounted Ultra-Low Volume (ULV) sprayingwas done in the area below on September 4 after sunset.

It’s important to note that spraying can only reduce but not eliminate the threat of mosquito-borne illness in the areas that are sprayed. That’s why it’s important for individuals to continue to take personal precautions against mosquito bites — both before and after any spraying is conducted.
