Dracut Vector Spray Event August 29 2019

A horse with Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE) Virus were confirmed August 26 in Methuen by MDPH near the Dracut border. Working with the Dracut Board of Health, truck-mounted Ultra-Low Volume (ULV) spraying iwas done in the area below on August 29 after sunset.
It’s important to note that spraying can reduce but not eliminate the threat of mosquito-borne illness in the areas that are sprayed. That’s why it’s important for individuals to continue to take personal precautions against mosquito bites, both before and after any spraying is conducted.
