Stow Vector Spray Event August 8 2019

Mosquitoes with West Nile Virus were confirmed August 7 in a surveillance trap set July 30 by CMMCP in the central part of town. Working with the Stow Board of Health, truck-mounted Ultra-Low Volume (ULV) spraying was done in the area below on August 8 after sunset.

It’s important to note that spraying can reduce but not eliminate the threat of mosquito-borne illness in the areas that are sprayed. That’s why it’s important for individuals to continue to take personal precautions against mosquito bites, both before and after any spraying is conducted.
