Chelmsford Vector Spray Event August 17, 2023

Mosquitoes with West Nile Virus (WNV) were confirmed August 16 by MDPH in the center/eastern section of town. Working with the Chelmsford Board of Health, truck-mounted Ultra-Low Volume (ULV) spraying was done in the area below on August 17 after sunset.
It’s important to note that spraying can reduce but not eliminate the threat of mosquito-borne illness in the areas that are sprayed. That’s why it’s important for individuals to continue to take personal precautions against mosquito bites, both before and after any spraying is conducted.
