Sturbridge 2021: updated Sept. 8, 2021 2:04pm

Mosquitoes with West Nile Virus (WNV) were confirmed September 8 by MDPH in the eastern section of town. Working with the Sturbridge Board of Health, truck-mounted Ultra-Low Volume (ULV) spraying was done in the area below on September 10 after sunset.

It’s important to note that spraying can reduce but not eliminate the threat of mosquito-borne illness in the areas that are sprayed. That’s why it’s important for individuals to continue to take personal precautions against mosquito bites, both before and after any spraying is conducted.
