Worcester Vector Spray Event August 12, 2022

Worcester 2022: updated Aug. 17, 2022 6:35am

Mosquitoes with West Nile Virus (WNV) were confirmed August 10 by MDPH in the Greendale section of the city. Working with the Worcester Dept. of Health, truck-mounted Ultra-Low Volume (ULV) spraying was done in the area below on August 12 after sunset.

It’s important to note that spraying can reduce but not eliminate the threat of mosquito-borne illness in the areas that are sprayed. That’s why it’s important for individuals to continue to take personal precautions against mosquito bites, both before and after any spraying is conducted.
