Worcester Vector Spray Event July 18, 2023

Mosquitoes with West Nile Virus (WNV) were confirmed July 12 by MDPH in the Burncoat section of the city. Working with the Worcester Dept. of Health, truck-mounted Ultra-Low Volume (ULV) spraying was done in the area below on July 18 after sunset. Read the press release from the City here.
It’s important to note that spraying can reduce but not eliminate the threat of mosquito-borne illness in the areas that are sprayed. That’s why it’s important for individuals to continue to take personal precautions against mosquito bites, both before and after any spraying is conducted.
