2019 Vector Events

Virus Confirmations w/e September 28, 2019:

  • GARDNER (EEE) Mosquito collection identified in a predominately bird-biting species identified in the southwestern part of the city. No spraying planned at this time due to low nightime temperatures.
  • SPENCER (EEE) (non-member community) A horse was identified with EEE in the southern part of town.
  • WORCESTER (WNV) Mosquito collection identified in the Green Island/Franklin Plantation part of the city. No spraying planned at this time due to low nightime temperatures.

Virus Confirmations w/e September 21, 2019:

All samples in CMMCP surveillance traps were negative, but EEE was announced in the following (non-member) community:

  • CHARLTON (EEE) resident

Virus Confirmations w/e September 14, 2019:

All samples in CMMCP surveillance traps were negative, but EEE and WNV were found in DPH traps in the following (non-member) communities:

  • DOUGLAS (EEE)
  • GRAFTON (EEE) 2 samples
  • HOLDEN (EEE) 2 samples
  • MENDON (WNV)
  • SPENCER (EEE)
  • STERLING (WNV)
  • UXBRIDGE (WNV) 2 samples
